The experience
How Murder Reveal works
A Murder Reveal investigation is played across two physical devices. One carries the investigation. The other carries the story into your hands.
Main device
Open murderreveal.com on a computer, tablet or smartphone. This is your investigation desk: evidence, documents, interviews and your case notes.
Companion smartphone
A second smartphone keeps you in touch with the story: private messages, incoming calls, forensic tools and clues meant only for you.
Investigate together
Friends join from their own smartphones. Everyone works on the same case, and each person sees the story from their own phone.
Where things stand
The website and case catalogue are open. The investigation experience and the companion apps are still in development and are not available to play yet.
Two devices. A deeper mystery.
How It Works
Use your main device to explore evidence, interview characters and piece together the mystery. A companion smartphone keeps new clues, messages and surprises close at hand.

Two physical devices are required. Every investigation needs a main device and a companion smartphone. You can play alone, but never on a single screen.
Questions
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a computer?
No. The main investigation runs in your browser on a computer, a tablet or a smartphone. You do need a second smartphone as your companion device.
How many devices are required?
At least two physical devices: one main device and one companion smartphone. There is no single-device mode.
Can I play alone?
Yes. A solo investigator simply uses two devices, for example a laptop and a phone.
Can I play with friends?
Yes. Each case lists how many investigators it supports. Friends join from their own smartphones and investigate the same case together.
Does everyone need to buy the investigation?
No. The plan is for a single purchase by the host to cover the whole group, within the case’s player limit. Purchases are not open yet.
How long does a case take?
Every case lists its estimated duration. Our first case, The Other Woman, takes about two to three hours.
Can we pause and continue later?
Yes, that is how investigations are being designed: progress is stored on our servers so a group can stop and resume. Gameplay is not released yet.
Is the companion app available yet?
Not yet. The iPhone and Android companion apps are in planning and have not been released. We will announce them here when they are ready.
